Huang Zhong, a Chinese national. She serves as China Researcher & Representative at Business and Human Rights Resource Centre. Based in Beijing, she is responsible for research and outreach in Mainland China and highlighting the social and environmental impacts of Chinese overseas investment. In the meantime, she is an Asia Fellow at Global Network for Public Interest Law (PILnet), conducting research and project development relating to B&HR. She previously worked as Consultant in Saferworld China Programme in the project on Chinese business engagement in conflict-affected areas, and Research Fellow at Wuhan University Public Interest and Development Law Institute (PIDLI), responsible for research on human rights impacts of Chinese investment in Africa and Myanmar, community legal empowerment for rural women, etc. Zhong was educated at University of York (MA in Applied in Human Rights), University of Newcastle (LLM in International Commercial Law), and Wuhan University (LLB).
