Annie Mutundu-Mbambi, President of WILPF DRC. Annie Matundu Mbambi is a Congolese peace and women’s rights activist with over 20 years of experience and leading positions in organizations and networks. She works for the elimination of all forms of violence against women, has been a leader in the work on DR Congo’s national action plan on the UN’s work for women, peace and security and has worked for women’s empowerment through education in both professional skills and women’s rights. Her work has taken her from the grass roots to the UN finery and back, and she is today an advisor to UN Women in DR Congo. Annie has also had a key role in spreading and developing IKFF in the African region where there are currently 18 national sections.
