Ikhlas Mahmoud, is the founder and chairman of the Sudanese section of the International Women’s Association for Peace and Freedom. IKFF Sudan works with focus on the UN agenda for Women, Peace and Security and is working on influencing Sudan to develop a national action plan for the implementation of Resolution 1325. Ikhlas, like many other women, participated in the protests in Sudan which led to the country’s dictator was appointed in April 2019. Now, IKFF Sudan is working for women to also be seen and participate in the development of a democratic political system and society.Facilitator: Hannah Stanton
