Sesheeni Joud Selvaratnam

Sesheeni Joud Selvaratnam is currently the International Programme and Policy Lead with ActionAid Demark where follows the Agenda 2030 processes and accountability and reporting at national, regional and global levels. Her mandate includes establishing strategic partnerships with civil society organisations, multilaterals and bilateral donors; collaborating in the development of policy briefs, research and knowledge products to ensure that the voices of the most vulnerable and their intersecting inequalities are captured in ActionAid’s work. Sesheeni has 20 years of programme and policy experience in gender equality and youth empowerment, protection and rights in development and humanitarian contexts.  She holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Guelph (Canada) in Sociology spe-cialising in Social Anthropology and Collaborative International Development Studies. A national of Sri Lanka and Canada, she speaks fluent Sinhala, English and French and with comprehension in Bangla, Bahasa Indonesia and Tamil has lived and worked in 35 countries across Asia and the Pacific, Africa, North America and Europe.
